Bertrand Thom à Owona is a statistician-engineer, data analyst, and financial analyst. He is a doctoral candidate in Money, Banking and Finance at Université de Yaoundé II, working on a thesis about the synchronization of Business and financial cycles and its effects on inequality. His research covers African macroeconomics: panel data methods, fiscal policy, energy vulnerability, digital inequality, and gender, with Cameroon as his main empirical setting.
