Dr. Ordy Philaine Betga Akeudji is an expert in political science and human rights who serves as a Human Rights and Democracy Analyst at the United Nations Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa (CARO). She earned her Doctorate (PhD) in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Dschang, graduating with the highest honors (“Très Honorable”). Her extensive doctoral research focused on global governance, specifically analyzing the role of international actors and natural resources management in Cameroon with an emphasis on water governance.

In her professional capacity with the United Nations, Dr. Betga Akeudji actively advocates for civic protections and democratic principles across Central Africa. Her recent initiatives focus heavily on defending human rights within the digital ecosystem, where she champions the protection of vulnerable demographics—particularly women and children—against rising online threats such as digital violence and cyberharassment. Through public forums, policy advocacy, and community outreach, she continues to play a vital role in aligning local community priorities with international sustainable development goals.
