Dr. Albert ZE holds a PhD in Mathematical Economics specializing in Health Economics and is a Cameroonian professor, researcher, and international expert. His research focuses on improving health systems in sub-Saharan Africa and adapting them to local socio-economic and cultural realities. Founder and Director General of the Institute for Research on Health and Development (IRESADE), based in Cameroon and France, he teaches at the University of Douala while also serving as an expert with CAMERCAP-PARC, a think tank under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Regional Development.

Throughout his career, Dr. ZE has contributed his expertise to various leading institutions, notably serving as a consultant for the World Bank and as a health economist at the Pasteur Center of Cameroon. His international commitment led to his admission to the French College of Health Economists (CES) in July 2023, and his appointment that same year as Strategic Advisor to the “Renaissance Project for Haiti,” where he is developing structural reforms for the Haitian healthcare system.

Author of numerous academic publications addressing universal health coverage, economic inequality, and resilience in the face of crises, he distinguished himself during the COVID-19 pandemic by developing a health risk prevention protocol to guide strategic decision-making. This expertise also led to his being asked to participate in the audit of COVID-19 funds conducted by the Court of Auditors of the Supreme Court of Cameroon.

Dr. Albert ZE’s career has earned him numerous national and international awards. Elevated to the rank of Knight of the Order of Valour on an exceptional basis by the President of the Republic of Cameroon in 2019, he was crowned best African researcher in health economics at the African Super Prize for Excellence in 2019 and 2022. Recognized among the most influential young people in his country by reference media such as Cameroon Tribune, he also entered in 2023 the MIPAD100 global ranking, listing the 100 most influential personalities of African descent under 40 years of age in politics and governance.
