Marius Tachom Kengne is a young professional capable of transforming scientific knowledge and field experience into concrete solutions for agricultural development and the resilience of African communities. His master’s thesis focused on assessing the health of tropical black soils in the context of agricultural intensification (Tchéboua, Northern Cameroon).
With over four years of field experience, he has supported indigenous and vulnerable communities in the conservation and restoration of ecosystems. At ABOYERD, he contributed to the CAMGAEPP program, on the periphery of Campo Ma’an National Park, and the NGOUROUMOUTOU program, on the periphery of Mbam and Djerem National Park, where he developed sustainable livelihoods: beekeeping, aquaculture, mushroom cultivation, harvesting of non-timber forest products, and assisted natural forest regeneration. He also worked as a field agronomist with FODER (Pro-ARC project), supporting Central African refugees and host communities in Eastern Cameroon. He then participated in the IITA’s incubation program as an AGRIPRENEUR within the Enable Youth program.

Committed to environmental advocacy and youth leadership, he is part of the 2024 cohort of the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation’s Emerging Leaders program.
