Dr. Norbert TSOPZE is a prominent Cameroonian computer scientist and Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Yaoundé I. He is a leading figure in the African artificial intelligence ecosystem, specializing in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Mining. He earned his PhD through a joint program between the University of Artois (France) and the University of Yaoundé I, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the L3I laboratory of the University of La Rochelle (France). His research primarily focuses on graph embeddings, natural language processing (NLP), and neural network explainability.

Beyond his academic and research contributions, he actively drives technological innovation as the President of the Cameroon Artificial Intelligence Society (CAIS). Through this role and his collaboration with pan-African networks like the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), he works to foster local tech talent and position Cameroon as a major hub for AI development. He also contributes to the scientific community as a member of the IDASCO research team (UMMISCO) and serves on various international scientific committees.
